But we tried. Got a few miles in before we got snowed out. Guess mid-May on this side of Mt Hood, shouldve seen that coming. Oops.

Made up for hike-cut-short by enjoying a perfect ride on Domino in the sunshine today. Fuck I missed riding.

Weekend: hikes, rides, homework(?). We ll see. Good times so far.

Hike gone awry.

What was supposed to be a relaxing.hike turned into

- a wrong turn, 30+mile 1hr detour
- getting stuck in the snow on a ledge (2 inches more and car wouldve slid overboard) on an 80° weathet day, in MAY (yes, snowpatch)
-3.5 hrs digging car out of snow/off of ledge
- and scaling a penis-shaped rock. It was shaped like a penis- of COURSE I had to climb it. (i climbed the shit outta that penis rock)
- & a parking-lot nap because we were too wiped.out to drive home

You win this time, Nature. But next week, we will be back. With shovels and an alternate trail route.

What a fuckin’ day. At least it was sunny, and with the snow’s reflection, we got some good base tans rolling. Minus the part where no actual hiking was involved in our hike. Whomp whomp.
